<description>My son Marc is in Mr Fitch&#039;s 7th grade class. We would like to know if there are any plans for a fundraiser for Japan Earthquake/Tsunami relief. If so, we would like to volunteer in some capacity. If not, I would like to suggest a &quot;Treats for Japan Relief&quot; fundraiser (based on &quot;Treats for Tanzania&quot; that Osgoode public holds). Parents are requested to send in a treat (everything from a baked good to a jar of candy). Students are then asked to buy tickets (25 cents apience to 5 for $1). There would then be a Chinese auctions where students put their tickets in for the item they&#039;d like to bid on (1 class every 40 minutes?). The winners would receive their treat at the end of the day.

I would be willing to help organize this event. I believe it could be done quickly for timely fund raising and proceeds could go to the Red Cross. The media could also be informed for some good will publicity for MPS.

Please email (plmr@sympatico.ca) or call me (613-298-0095) and let me know if you are interested or if there is some other way we can help.
